it's back...

It's been a good week. Somethings are hard (it's been not the best week ever in terms of my productivity level at work and I grow frustrated with myself at times) but in a general sense I feel like this week and the month of August were big and important and just good.

August, my favorite month of the year as I wrote about before, comes to a close tomorrow. It sounds funny, but I'm sad to see it go. I predicted a big month and it definitely did not disappoint. I wrote to my friend Peter, who spent this entire month in Scotland...returning tomorrow, and expressed that I thought this month would be life changing for the both of us. From out brief chats online, sounds like his month went really well. For me, I didn't think I'd feel the way I do as the month progressed. But sometimes you just get to a point and turn a corner to feeling something new.

But what I feel isn't new. It feels like me to be honest. I wrote about finding myself again, getting back to me. Some of it is old, some of it is new...but I really feel back to being me. I think it was there for a while and just needed some time to happen, some time for me to see it.

I see everything in life as a process. So when I say it's back or I'm back, obviously there's still room for growth, change, improvement, finding even more of myself. I just really feel like I'm moving, looking, thinking forward...and it's really, really nice. =]

And I wouldn't be at this point if it weren't for all my family and friends...thank u for being there and just being awesome like u are.

i want one!

I love my bucket of a car, Val. But thoughts of buying a new car do cross my mind. For a while I was set on saving up and getting either a BMW 3-series or the Lexus IS. But, both of those cars are just flat out played out [and the Lexus mos def will be by the time I make a purchase].

I'd like to rock something with a little more style or personality anyway. At least something more me. The other option I came up with in a silly moment is going old school and buying a tricked out muscle car, because I'm such a muscle car kinda guy. Haha. Anyway...I'm seriously thinking about getting a Mini when I do buy a car...but who knows when that will be...gotta save some cash first [and move which is going to eat into any $$$ I save up between now and then].

YES! [have i used that before as a title???]

"I wanted to make songs that are people's theme songs," Kanye would say later in the night...

I just read that in an article about the kanYe West listening party for his upcoming album Graduation. That's got to be one of the greatest ambitions in music. This is why I got mad love for 'Ye.

yargh!

i miss the City. and i kinda wish i woke up just to checkout the lunar eclipse last nite. =/

quote of the nite.

Sam: "We're at Stell and Finer."
Me: "You're Stell and I'm Finer!"

Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha. Saturday nite was ridiculous. And no, I didn't remember this interaction, I had to be told.

In other news, the James Blunt song 1973 makes me feel highly apathetic for some reason. It's in reference to something in particular and is actually a good thing, altho for some reason apathy almost sounds negative to me. It's a weird felling, sitting here in front of my computer again...just sitting and listening.

The funny thing: moments like this fall within that category of "pure contentment and complete satisfaction" I reference in profiles. Those moments cover a variety of feelings in a way that, while it seems strange, totally makes sense. What u need in each moment varies...
