The time away, couple with some other recent events, was a simply reminder of how great the City is and how wonderful it is to get to spend time with some of my closest friends in the world. I'm hoping to get to see some of those I didn't get a chance to spend time with over this most recent trip. As is customary, the list of some of the highlights...
- finally getting into the City
- the "Apologize/Don't Stop Believing" mashup [low point for some, starting point for me]
- sparks'ing up
- repeatedly crossing to the wrong side of the street to get a cab
- a table of old friends
- cheap drinks, good conversation
- "you have to check that hoodie."
- the girl with the dance moves [seriously, i may have fallen in love...too bad i have no idea who she was]
- Ed: "I have a one."
- late nite pizza
- Ed: "It's Persian beautiful."
- brunch at Eats
- finally meeting the girl from Ohio
- Kentucky Derby preshow, but no race
- not following Los
- the journey to a magical land in the woods
- "CLOSED"
- "We're open for 12 minutes" and the unwelcoming bartender
- a great day out in the fog
- more great conversation and lots of laughs
