congrats...

to ChrisT. on the new work. we're making equally money man, haha.

also, when i came home today a message awaited me on my answering machine. at&t called to let me know that my DSL contract comes to a close on August 27th or something like that. it just now reminded me that the one year anniversary of moving down here is coming up in a little over a month.

it's been a crazy year. it's been a year full of change; aside from my family and friends, nothing is the same. some of it bad, some of it good. i really didn't picture any of the change when i came down here but it's interesting that even tho things didn't go as according to plan i'm still here stayin up and doing me.

but still, some of it is sad and there's no denying that [at least not for someone like myself]. to be honest, i really do want to go into more detail but i won't because in the end i'll feel better if i just write to myself in a more private fashion. some things just can't be shared on a blog [and not just things that involve other people].



a final note: i'm not sure if i ever mentioned this before but i think i'm the most passive writer in the history of time. law school taught as all about the passive voice [or at least taught me about it since i don't remember learning about it earlier in life...well educated but not actually intelligent] yet i write in the passive voice with a certain passion and enthusiasm. i catch myself all the time but often don't care. i personally don't see it as such a negative thing, believing there's a a certain usefulness to it.
